Topological Quantum Systems

Huo is interested in understanding the intricate interactions between quantum systems and their environments, known as open quantum systems. His research focuses on developing both theoretical frameworks and numerical tools to model and analyze real-world quantum systems. By bridging the gap between theoretical predictions and experimental observations, Huo aims to advance the understanding of noise in practical quantum systems. His work contributes to the development of quantum error suppression techniques, such as dynamical decoupling, by providing insights into how environmental interactions affect quantum coherence and control.
